The Stadium Bass DI was originally developed by L. R. Baggs bass engineers for private use. As L. R. Baggs mainly produces high quality products for the acoustic guitar market, the focus was not really on developing a Bass DI. The final result, however, which brings the signal to studio sound level and also delivers a wide range of unique sound possibilities, was so convincing that it was not to be withheld from the bass world.
Consisting of carefully selected top components and built on a super clean analog signal path, the Stadium DI guarantees a signal fidelity that is second to none. Building on this, a wealth of different sounds can be generated, which can be set using simple and clear control elements. Everything combined in a robust housing made of aluminum, steel and ABS plastic, the Stadium DI ensures above-average reliability for use on the road. Of course, made by hand in California / USA.

GROWL
In contrast to other overdrive effects, which distort the entire signal, the GROWL control intervenes in a focused manner at the low frequencies and thus ensures a special warmth of the bass and a sound rich in overtones without offering too high a resolution for the highs.
This effect helps to create more dynamics and ensures that a phenomenal tone is created even with careful playing style, which asserts itself perfectly in the band context.
If you need more distortion, simply press the DRIVE button and get a full-range overdrive.

COMP EQ
The Comp EQ delivers three bands of compression to the signal, while the natural playing dynamics of the bass player are completely retained. The low, medium and high frequency compressors are "touch-sensitive" EQs that intervene in the playing in real time. The harder you hit the strings, the more they grip and compress.

ATTACK
This specific EQ has a unique effect on the mean bandwidth of the sound, which is mainly determined by the strike of the string. This alone addresses an abundance of varieties and styles. If you turn the control to the left, the sound becomes warmer for muted jazz sounds, if you turn it to the right, it becomes clearer and gets more punch.
